New Jersey Department of Education Portfolio Appeal Process

Students who did not take the PARCC Assessments, or were unable to achieve a passing score on the PARCC Assessments, or unable to achieve a passing score on the alternative standardized exams will need to successfully complete the NJ Department of Education (NJDOE) Portfolio Appeal Process in order to earn a high school diploma. As the NJDOE makes information available for students, teachers, and parents it will be posted here.

Students, parents, or guardians with questions about the portfolio appeal, process, or other questions about NJDOE requirements for earning a high school diploma specific to the student, should contact the guidance counselor or case manager. Questions may also be directed to the Director of Guidance, Dustin Bayer, or Director of Testing, Jennifer Goforth.
