Edgemont's students spent the month of February studying African-American History. Through writing, art, songs, dance, daily fact announcements, and even math, students learned about the history, culture and traditions of African-Americans.

Storyteller Rochele Coleman taught students about the African-American cowboy Nat Love.Edgemont was treated to a visit from storyteller Rochele Coleman who acted out the life of African-American cowboy Nat Love.

Student's research reports about African Americans

3rd graders learned about an influential African-American person from history. They wrote reports and drew portraits.

1st grade's African-American Inventors Museum1st graders created an African-American Inventors Museum.
